The Indian Volleyball Leagues are the franchise-based Volleyball leagues in India initiated by SportzLive and the Volleyball Federation of India (VFI). The leagues will unleash a Volleyball revolution in the country and will be played in three different stages- Men’s, Women’s and Beach Volleyball.

Volleyball is a sport played in over 200 countries and over 995 million people follow and play the sport recreationally all over the World. It is rated among the top 5 sports in the World on the basis of popularity and fan following. In India and the Indian subcontinent, it is the number one rural sport in many states including Kerala, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, etc.
The Indian team has done very well over the last few years. Indian men’s team has consistently been amongst the top 30 teams in the world in recent times. The Indian Junior team is amongst the top teams in the world and the Indian women’s team is also making rapid strides to become a top team in the world. India is an emerging nation on the global volleyball map having won various international matches. It was ranked 5th in Asia in Men’s Volleyball in 2014. The Men’s Indian Volleyball Team won the Silver medal in the 2014 Asia Cup held in Kazakhstan. It is a sport enjoyed in the rural and urban areas in India and a sport waiting to discover new heights.
